Our new year has started with a week of much needed sunshine and so we find ourselves on the first laundry day of the new year with Fiona taking charge. She has been helping with her laundry for about a year but she's getting better at it and even helped a visiting friend use the washing machine recently. Life is good.

Yay for help with laundry! So so important! I have tried repeatedly to explain surface area and drying time to Ollie re the hanging out of clothes - you just gotta hope that all the seeds we sow stick some day and grow them into good humans XX

PS I feel compelled to add an anecdote about laundry from my childhood - my mum used to avidly sort the pile into 'blacks, coloureds, whites' and so I used to immitate her and yell these three sections out while randomly putting any old thing in each pile. PPS It wasn't a racial thing, even though we were living in South Africa at the time ;-)
